Turtle Springs, Kansas is a town full of women seeking husbands.
1866 dawns dark and hopeless on the small town of Turtle Springs set in the Flint Hills of Kansas. The War Between the States took most of its men…and never returned them. A group of the town’s single and widowed women join wits and decide they’ll advertise for husbands. But they won’t accept just any riffraff. The men will need to audition and be interviewed by the women.
But the best laid plans go awry as both the curious and the serious flock to town to witness the spectacle. How will seven of the town’s finest women make the best practical choices when their hearts cry out to be loved?
